In the first episode of the second season of the Economic Connection podcast, our host, Flávio Ataliba, welcomes the distinguished economist and researcher Aloisio Pessoa de Araujo. A member of the US National Academy of Sciences and a full member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences, Aloísio is a professor at the Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics (IMPA) and FGV EPGE. In this conversation, he recalls his academic and professional career, including the time he spent at the University of Berkeley, California, surrounded by great names who made history in statistics and economics - among them, John Nash Jr. and John Harsanyi.
